ROMA Training
This month, IMPACT hosted a successful Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA) Training. A big thank you to Ohio Urban Community Action Network, and to our very own Teresa Gary and Shameikia Smith for delivering such an informative and engaging session. Our attendees walked away with valuable tools to bring back to their agencies and communities.

We are also very excited to share that two members of the EMPOWERED! team recently completed the Roots of Success Pre-Apprenticeship Instructor Training. This dynamic curriculum supports the current curriculum by providing further insight into the vast opportunities in the clean energy space and supports the City of Columbus’ Climate Action Plan to fill 10,000 “green jobs." By becoming certified Instructors, the EMPOWERED! program continues to grow and allows enrolled participants to be registered in a nationally recognized pre-apprenticeship!
Additionally, we continue to partner with the residents of American Addition, the City of Columbus and IMPACT’s Weatherization team to create the nation’s first Historically Black Net Zero neighborhood. Our Community Resiliency Manager and Community Advocates continue to support the neighborhood through community meetings and door-to-door canvassing to share information about the special initiative.Climate Justice Initiatives
