Climate Justice Initiatives at IMPACT

Since 2019, IMPACT Community Action has been a thought leader and champion for climate justice.

In strong partnership with residents of Columbus’ opportunity neighborhoods, IMPACT is dedicated to reducing the effects of climate change to those who can least afford it.

To date, IMPACT has participated in:

The creation of the Climate Action Plan

Educated thousands of individuals on reducing their energy consumption/burden

Gathered feedback from residents on electric vehicle policy for the City of Columbus

Promoted two City of Columbus solar co-ops

Developed a clean energy workforce development program.

Moving forward, we are planning additional innovative climate justice programming and are always seeking like-minded partners to increase our impact in the community.
