Record Expungement Services
Program Description: Opportunity to seal criminal records which can impact the ability of Columbus and Franklin County residents to obtain gainful employment.
Intake Process: Customer will come in where we will collect the documentation. Once documentation is collected, an IMPACT Rep will complete the application via phone interview and will provide the customer with next steps.
Documentation Needed:
Valid driver’s license/photo I.D. for main applicant
Social Security card for every member of the household
Previous 30 days' proof of income for everyone 18 and over in the household
Examples include employment pay stubs, SSI award letter, etc.
Qualification for expungement is not guaranteed. Eligibility for expungement is determined by the guidelines provided by the Franklin County Clerk of Courts, and official determination is made by a judge.
Program Benefits: Client will receive a voucher in the amount of $50 to be used to pay fee at Franklin County Court House
What Program Covers? The Fee to File the Paperwork with the Franklin County Clerk of Courts.
What Program Can’t Cover? Certain Criminal Charges, as well as serve as any guarantee- which the IMPACT Rep will cover.
How to Apply for Service: Customer can call 614-964-2906. Appointments are on a first come first served basis. Once appointments are full, customers can try again on the first Monday of the following month at 8AM.
