IMPACT to Host the Inaugural IMPACT Verses a Lip Sync Battle
IMPACT Verses is a fun and engaging lip sync battle, which will take place September 19, 2019 at the Ohio Historical Center 800 E. 17th Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43211. Participants can lip-sync, volunteer or donate to help IMPACT provide hope and critical support to people in Franklin County living in poverty.
IMPACT’s goal with this event is to raise $50,000 to support people in Franklin County who may be underemployed or unemployed who would like to participate in our upcoming Vocational Training and Certification Program and fill in the gaps for those who come in with extreme need for emergency assistance, but marginally exceed the poverty guideline.
No more than 15 teams may ‘battle’ for the coveted gold album award, with each team committing to raise a minimum of $200 to fight poverty in Franklin County. IMPACT makes it easy for participants to raise funds through mobile crowdfunding philanthropy which enables users to easily make microdonations, as low as $1, to other users’ team fundraising efforts. To register your team text VERSES to 71777.
For those who cannot perform, IMPACT Verses has an option to donate and support our mission to reduce poverty by providing hope-inspiring help and real opportunities for self-sufficiency.
IMPACT Verses Lip Sync Battle is presented by IMPACT Community Action and media sponsor 1580 WVKO the Praise. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased by texting VERSES to 41444. Registration for teams is $200 per team, which can include up to 6 people. For information on IMPACT Community Action or IMPACT Verses, registration, or donations visit IMPACTCA.org/impactverses
